L'amour Botanique is a small nursery in South Devon specialising a seasonal range of quality fresh and vibrant culinary herbs for the kitchen. Our Herbs are available in pots, planters or baskets and have been grown in a sustainable and ethical way. We also offer garden supplies of peat-free organic coir compost, biodegradable pots and garden sundries in our 'Online Shop for Gardeners'.

Our culinary herbs are grown using peat and chemical free coir (coconut husk) based compost and seeds produced from an environmentally sound and chemically free source.
The compost that we use is available in our Online Shop for Gardeners!

Our Culinary Potted Herbs
Supplied in either a 10cm teracotta plastic or 10.5cm biodegradable flowerpot and beautifully presented in a pale green florist wrap together with care instructions and a rustic handwritten style wooden label. Each flowerpot contains a cluster of individual herb plants of the same variety. With care many of the herbs will re-grow and provide you with fresh leaves to use again.
Culinary Herb Baskets and Planters
You can choose from our available range - either a mix of different herbs or a single variety in each basket containing more than one 'cluster'. All of our herb planters contain several herb 'clusters'
Our planters and baskets are waterproof lined and provide the kitchen with a variety of culinary herb clusters that are not only a delight to have available but provide that essential fresh taste for any dish.
The Enamel herb planters provide a farmhouse feel to the kitchen.
The small wooden trugs are a delight and add a sense of collective freshness for your herb collection.
All our culinary herb plants are supplied with care instructions and a rustic handwritten style wooden label.

Please note: Our range of herbs changes with the seasons as the herbs are grown in an unheated environment (unless temperatures really plummet)which encourages strong and healthy plant growth. Please check our online shop for seasonal availability and the combinations on offer.
Seasonal Herbs in the Kitchen...a little prose
As the nights draw in early and the mist lingers with the coolness of the night of Autumn and Winter, there is nothing better than a chunk of bread and a hearty bowl of hot homemade soup, garnished with fresh French Parsley (stronger than curled and renowned for its flavour) or what about a sprinkling of Chives upon your fresly cooked potatoes; Chives liven up any dish. When Spring and Summer arrives; indulge in a simple aromatic and vibrant Basil, olive oil and tomato salad or a pasta sauce made from bright Sweet and fragrant Basil or for the patient cook with stamina- Greek basil, which has tiny leaves and a stronger flavour. Dill on fish, omelettes, eggs and new potatoes (also good sprinkled oncarrots) ...excellent!.... and there is nothing more pizzaish than Oregano to bring back those Italian memories.......
